2005 - 2006 Leadership Academy Fellows

The 2005-2006 Class of Fellows of the Maryland State Bar Association's Leadership Academy is comprised of attorneys representing a culturally and professionally diverse group. These Fellows were handpicked for their potential as future leaders within the legal community. They represent state, federal, private and public interests throughout the State of Maryland. The Fellows were given the task of developing a public service project that expressed their vision as future leaders. As such, it was important to the Fellows to make certain that their project was not only unique, but targeted as wide a demographic as possible, representative of the diversity within their own makeup. It was with this goal in mind that the Fellows decided to create this section of the website for youth.

This website is intended to serve as a starting point for understanding and comprehending the many rights and responsibilities of the Maryland youth. It is not the only source of information, and should not be construed as such. This website is a place to start. Within it, you will find links to many additional sources of information. Use them.

The Fellows had less than one year to independently create this bilingual website, presented in both English and Spanish, and foster a partnership between the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Legal Assistance Network. In that short time span, the Fellows of the Class of 2005-2006, following in the footsteps of the classes before them, created something that they hope is useful and informative. Hopefully, this Project will springboard the Leadership Academy into the 21st century.
